A plug for eating more plants
I once heard a well-known cardiologist speaking at a conference say that if everyone went vegan, cardiologists would be out of business. While that’s a bit of hyperbole, new evidence suggests he was on to something.
A study published in the Journal of the American Heart Association this month suggests that in middle-aged adults, eating a plant-based diet reduces the risk of developing cardiac disease, death from cardiac disease, and death from any cause.
