He is the nicest doctor. I adore him. The office staff is the absolute best too. The entire visit is stress free on your heart. He treats you like you are his family.
Quick, efficient, professional, friendly.
Super knowledgeable, smart, caring and personable! Top noch Doctor.
We had heard that Dr. Rubin was the very best, so my wife made me an appointment. Dr. Rubin took lots of time to ask questions and analyze my case, he is very thorough. He ordered tests carefully, after a full explanation in layman's terms. He was warm, informative, and positive about my health goals. He treated me as an individual, and never rushed. He returned all my phone calls, and was generous with his time. He remembered every detail on followup visits. His suggestions worked out extremely well. In an era when doctors are giving you less and less time and attention, Dr. Rubin is a model of what a cardiologist should be.
I'm 68 and have had several cardiologists. Dr. Rubin has been the best. He takes time to explain thingsand knows how to explain them. He errs on the side of caution and carefulness, but is approachable and human about it. We all have questions, and I sense he cares that my questions have been answered.
If you need a cardiologist I highly recommend Dr. Rubin.
Doctor Rubin without question helped me to extend not only the lives of both of my parents, but their quality of life. He also has seen me and I appreciate his conservative approach. He is calm and thoughtful, listens carefully, explains clearly and blends the art and science of medicine to perfection. His staff is extremely busy with a large practice and balancing the needs of many critical patients, so if they are at times perceived by the other reviewer to be "rude" that is only that reviewers opinion. I have found the staff to be very diligent and kind as well.
After I had 2 heart attacks and 2 stents, I wanted to see a new doctor through recomendations from friends I made an appt with Dr Rubin. He took a very detailed history of me for over 2 hrs and explained my heart in detail. He has,/ worked with me on my meds and helped me with my problem with statins. I am very comfortable being in his care .He always gets back to me when I call and knows my case and gives me information and is always available for me to come in see him on short notice. Great bed side manner
An outstanding doctor! Well trained at Johns Hopkins, generous with his time, gives you a detailed visit. My primary care doctor said he was the smartest and the best, and he was right!
Dr. Rubin is a superb diagnostician, and he spends lots of time with me. He returns phone calls and takes an interest in the whole patient. His staff is friendly and helpful, and they go the extra mile that is so often lacking in today's medical care environment. I have never had any issues with him, he's a real gem!
My primary care doctor referred me to two cardiologists who ran endless tests but came to no useful conclusions. When I complained that I was spending time and money, but getting nowhere, my doctor then sent me to Dr. Rubin, saying "He's the best, he'll find the answer." Dr. Rubin questioned me more carefully than I had ever been questioned to date, and solved the problem without addtional tests; he used his BRAIN! Of course I couldn't resist asking my primary care doctor, "Why didn't you send me to Dr. Rubin in the first place; why wouldn't you send everybody there?" Thanks Dr. Rubin!
I've only had the initial appointment, so I can't comment on procedures or outcomes, but if you're choosing a cardiologist, you need to be heard in full and you need to learn what you need to know, and Dr. Rubin is outstanding in those regards. He asks you questions and writes the history as he goes, instead of having you write it down before seeing him. My sense is he knows how to diagnose because of his natural personal abilities and tendencies in addition to his extensive background. He was recommended as tops by my doctor. Just go and you'll feel confident after meeting with him. And staff was friendly and excellent help to me also.
Clearly he loves helping people. He treated me like I was a close friend or family member, gave lots of time, demonstrated lots of focus, came up with lots of good ideas, stays very engaged, thorough, generous with his caring.
Dr. Rubin combines the diagnostic skills of Sherlock Holmes with the warm mannerisms of your buddy at the neighborhood picnic. He treats you like he cares, because he does care! Very good at explaining science to a lay person. A real gem.
My husband was never good at following through on any doctor recommendations about his blood pressure and cholesterol, and I worried about him all the time. Dr Rubin was able to explain things in a way that reached him, and now he is with the program and feeling better than he has in years. Dr. Rubin's communication skills are very special!
Dr.Richard Rubin is without parallel! He has been my doctor for years and always is optimistic, cheerful, helpful, pleasant and willing to listen. My daughter, who now takes me, told our family doctor that he is bye compare when checking and evaluation of my medicines and care. God bless him! can not imagine ever going to anyone else!
Took the time to ask careful questions that solved the problem. Fills me with confidence just to know he’s on my case. Follows through 100%. Among my several specialists, no one comes close to this level of detail and intelligence.
I found Dr. Rubin on many "best doctor" lists. Dr. Rubin very smart and yet very friendly, he pays attention closely, and he follows through on calls and is responsive. Lucky to have him, glad he is on my team. His staff is very helpful, no voice mail run around!
My doctor told me that Dr. Rubin is the doctor for all the doctors, and for all the political muckety mucks, but he carries the burden of keeping them healthy very nicely, as he couldn't be kinder and more generous with his time for my elderly Mom and all her issues both big and small. Always listening, always focusing, always smiling, very patient, a real nice guy. His parents and teachers did a good job.
Dr. Rubin’s office has all the latest technology, but even more importantly, he knows how and when to ise it. Nine out of my last 10 calls or visits to him were for various chest pains, and he took the time to figure it out before rushing into lots of tests and new drugs. Appreciate the time spent and thought put into all my “emergencies.” I would recommend him to anyone who cares about their heart health.
Dr. Rubin does wonders with my father, using his calming influence, his clear communication, and his empathy. Plus he's as smart as they come. He is clearly extending my Dad's life and quality of life .
Just a really really smart person with good analytical skills and kind bedside manner. Figures stuff out. Genuinely cares. Dedicated.
I see Dr. Rubin as my cardiologist specialist, but he is a valuable source of information on many health topics, and is kind and patient when I ask him a lot of questions. I always leave there feeling that I am in good, safe hands, and that I understand my overall health a lot better....
I am a little bit of a hypocondriac and Dr. Rubin being on my health care doctor team is the only thing that keeps me feeling calm and safe. I am really glad he decided to be a doctor in my town, he is very good at what he does.
Dr. Rubin is not only very smart, but he genuinely cares about his patients. My husband and I get all our questions answered, all our phone calls returned, and all our scheduling needs met in a courteous manner. Good old fashioned pure excellence like nowhere else!
